My daily routine usually starts with the “Spa time” at Life Time because staying healthy matters more to me now than ever before.
The idea of hobbling around a beach in compression socks and flip-flops after giving up on my health is nightmare fuel.
Watching people completely quit on themselves physically is one of the biggest reminders I have to keep moving.
The gym crowd covers every category imaginable.Â
There are lots of retired folks like me who hit the gym in the afternoons. A few weeks ago, I met a guy named Nick, and after hearing about my travels, he now asks me the same question every single day:Â
âWhat are you still doing here in America?â đ
He keeps telling me that life is way too short not to do what makes you happy.
The problem is⊠I honestly donât know how to answer his question anymore.
Some days, I donât even know what Iâm still doing here either.
Maybe Iâm just a little too chickenshit to push all my chips into the middle of the table right now. I get the feeling he wishes he went “all in” a long time ago too and has regrets.
