I am currently in Ho Chi Minh City/ Saigon, Vietnam! I traveled worldwide for USD 375 with a monthly Airbnb of USD 400! 🙌

One

January 12th into January 14th:
Flip my Airbnb to new Customers during the day.  ✅
A one-hour flight from Phoenix to Los Angeles at 8 PM. ✅
Arrive in Los Angeles at 8:15 PM losing an hour changing time zones. ✅
16-hour flight to Singapore departs at 10 PM. ✅
2-hour flight to HCMC, Vietnam where homebase will be for 28 days. ✅
~19 hours in the air and ~30 hours of travel time door to door. ✅
I lost over a day in the air and landed on the afternoon of January 14th. ✅
I can honestly say that was the roughest flight of my entire life. I may or may not have been worn the fuck out!!
I never slept for a good couple of days before my flight, which may be a good reason.
I left my pad in Mexico on the 11th, flipped my Mesa, AZ Airbnb on the 12th, and flew to LA early due to the fires. I had a five-hour layover, 16 hours to Singapore, a six-hour layover once we finally landed, and a two-hour flight to Saigon/Ho Chih Mihn City (HCMC).
I then treated myself to a three-hour in an immigration line convincing myself my visa would be denied and an Uber to my Airbnb which was not ready yet.
I have recovered like a champ after 12 hours of sleep! I had morning Vietnamese coffee with tea, Pho for lunch, and a great $5 hot shave and haircut!

(I have never seen someone so happy to cut my bucket head. He also wanted a Google review which I let him write and loved his TIP)

The best part about traveling is meeting locals with common interests:
Since I am great with names, we shall call him North Vancouver since he lived there for a long time graduated from UBC and now lives here.
We chatted about life over coffee and tea that contained neither caffeine nor alcohol, and now we are workout, walking, and air boxing partners.
He also invited me to a Lunar New Year party on Sunday to welcome the year of the snake.
I would call that a great first few hours in my new HCMC hood! 🙌
