If tomorrow never comes …

I saw this post today from Claudia, who was my Airbnb host the first time I went to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, over five years ago. I couldn’t help but write a blog on it.  Thanks for the powerful message, Claudia, and see you traveling just like we talked about all those years ago! 🙌

I have this little schtick that I try to play, “Live life to the fullest!”  So much so, I even got it tattooed on my left calf!

It was my mom’s most annoying saying to all of us kids.  I would roll my eyes and say Yes, Mom.  I never realized it until I unexpectedly lost her on July 1st, 2019; she couldn’t be more right.  She would also tell a lot of people to “Kiss her ass” later in life so she was not all motivation.  LOL

Every time I hear of someone dying, I always think of this saying no matter the age. I have had so many family members’ lives cut short one way or another, so it does hit home for me.

These stories from the horrific Air India plane crash made me blog today:

Air India plane crash ✈️

For some, just another breaking news.
For me, it was a poignant reminder of how fragile and unpredictable life is.

Four lives. Four stories. Four powerful lessons that changed the way I see time, purpose, and grace in every moment.

1️⃣First: A family who had waited years to fulfill their dream of emigrating to the UK.
Life got in the way, responsibilities, delays, decisions.
Finally, they made it on the plane… but they never reached their destination,
and I realized :

We have a lot of plans for “someday. But if we keep waiting, someday becomes never.

2️⃣Second: A woman who was supposed to be on that flight. She was running late. I lost the record. He begged to board but was denied. She was frustrated, angry, and defeated. Only to later realize that the delay was divine protection.
We don’t always get what we want, because God sees what we can’t.

Sometimes, their “no” is what keeps us alive.

3️⃣Third: A man who survived.
The plane broke in half, and he was in the section that didn’t catch fire.
He walked away, stunned and alive, from something no one thought survivable.
It wasn’t luck. It was a purpose. And I was reminded of the verse: “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” ”

It just wasn’t their time.

4️⃣Forth: And then those who didn’t make it. People with dreams, People with Families. People with unfinished stories.
Someone was kissed goodbye that morning… not knowing it was the last time.
Their lives remind us that time is not guaranteed. We’re not promised old age. We are not promised later. What we have is now. A respite. A heartbeat. An opportunity.

So while you still have today…
As long as you’re still breathing, still strong, still able, don’t waste it.
Don’t wait for the “perfect” moment.
Love now. Apologize now. Forgive me now. Dream on now. Speak up now. Live now💜
Because life doesn’t always come with warnings. And sometimes… “next time” never comes. ✨

Whatever “Live life to the fullest” means to you, just fucking do it!

Sometimes “Tomorrow never comes …”

Sometimes “Planning tomorrow will be your last day …”

Just allow it to happen your way!

I have flown in that particular aircraft many times.

It is one of my favorites as it is so beautiful inside and out, and I cannot imagine it.  I have a ticket booked to London on September 1st, 2025, on my Dreamliner, and will leave it in God’s hands.

I just know I will be thinking of these stories when we take off!

I’m going down swinging, I just hope it is in later innings!! 😎
