As I continue to push forward on the impossible, trying to gain momentum on my channel, I see some growth. Trying to be relevant as a boomer is tough on YouTube; it’s probably easier to hit the lottery.
I would estimate that 99.99% of these sites fail, and I knew that going into this so-called “hobby.”
Knowing that makes it easier, as there is zero pressure to make any money. However, I am now seeing a bit of growth on my channel as far as views, not subscribers, where it matters.
Monitizing is still far-fetched, but here are the numbers as of 06/28/2025, as I continue to go to bat! 🫡
The below updated edit is from 07/07/25!
Ten-day statistics:
Added 214 videos (20% increase)
11 subscribers (8% increase)
Added 40,238 views (34% increase)
I am getting some positive feedback and a lot of thumbs up, which tells me people take the time to show they enjoyed it. I know, it may be childish, but knowing that someone is watching does help me continue to put in the time as I am a human being, kinda!
The ironic part is that friends and family do not watch, and these are all from like-minded strangers from all around the world!
Another crazy realization for me is the videos that are most watched. The below video has been watched over 20,000 times, in over 50 Countries, and is still being watched a week after posting.
It was so simple as I was just buying a coconut in Vietnam, and yet subscribers were added and a lot of 👍🏻👍🏼👍👍🏾👍🏿
It is also interesting to see the audience who watched the video in YouTube analytics:
I currently have over 1000 videos on my channel. I spent a lot of time uploading and editing, and that video crushes the next most watched by 15,000. I will continue to work on it through next year as I head to Europe in September and Japan/Korea in February. I will reevaluate this shit show after those trips!
In the meantime, I will continue to be annoying AF sending out FB, IG and PM begging you to watch! 🕺
